BMW Malaysia has officially replaced the long selling F15 BMW X5 with the all-new G05 generation. Priced at RM640,000, the BMW X5 xDrive40i M Sport is aimed squarely at the Mercedes-Benz GLE 450 AMG Line in Malaysia.
Unlike the outgoing model, there is no hybrid wizardry in the new car with only a 3.0-litre turbocharged straight-six petrol engine packing 340 hp and 450 Nm of torque. With a ZF-sourced 8-speed automatic and xDrive all-wheel-drive system, the X5 xDrive40i can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.
As the flagship X model (before the arrival of the X7), the X5 gets all the latest bells and whistles from BMW including a really cool powered tonneau cover!
