Aston Martin DBS Superleggera OHMSS Edition has the perfect wheel option

50 years ago, George Lazenby graced the silver screen as Agent 007 in the 1969 Bond film, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service. To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the sixth James Bond film, Aston Martin together with EON Productions have introduced the Aston Martin DBS Superleggera On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (OHMSS) special edition.

The DBS Superleggera OHMSS edition pays tribute to the original 1969 DBS driven by Bond in the movie and only 50 units of these will be made. All cars will be painted in Olive Green and a bespoke six horizontal vanes metal grille (standard cars wear a honeycomb grille) to match the original car.

Other bits fitted onto the special edition model include carbon fibre splitter and aero blade, pure black leather interior with grey blend Alcantara as well as red accents for the trim and stitching. Let’s take a moment to appreciate how delicious those forged wheels look.

The only option customers can go for is the bespoke Drinks Case which fits perfectly into the boot. The black case has space for two bottles of champagne and four champagne flutes, an accessory to complement the Super GT nature of the DBS.

Mechanically it retains the 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 developing 725 hp and 900 Nm driving the rear wheels via an 8-speed ZF automatic. Century sprint is clocked in 3.4 seconds while top speed is capped at 340 km/h.

The DBS Superleggera OHMSS edition is the latest in a series of 007 inspired Aston Martins, which includes the Goldfinger DB5 continuation and the 2015 DB9 GT Bond Edition. Each of the 50 DBS Superleggera OHMSS edition will retail at £300,007.00, with first deliveries to customers commencing in Q4 2019.
