Since the official introduction of the seventh-generation Honda Civic in Malaysia, the C-segment sedan has become a popular choice among consumers. Whether it’s for an expanding family or individuals looking for a sporty sedan, the Civic has always hit the sweet spot.
Today Honda Malaysia hit a historical milestone with the delivery of the 130,000th Civic, a 1.5 TC-P variant finished in Dark Ruby Red to its owner, Ms Fatihah here at Botanic Auto Mall Sdn Bhd, an authorised Honda 3S Centre in Klang.
Honda Malaysia Group Vice President, Ms. Jahabarnisa Haja Mohideen said at the handover ceremony, “A heartfelt thank you and deep appreciation to all our 130,000 Civic customers in Malaysia. Their support and belief in the Honda brand have enabled our models to achieve segment leadership positions including the Civic which is leading the C-segment.”
The Civic is among Honda’s most popular models in Malaysia with the seventh-generation collecting more than 9,300 unit sales, the eight-generation (FD) contributing close to 50,400 unit sales, ninth-generation (FB) with more than 27,00 unit sales and lastly the tenth-generation (FC) Civic launched in 2016 has sold more than 42,200 units.
