The Koenigsegg Jesko looks like a spaceship in the middle of old Hong Kong

In celebrating the appointment of Kingsway K Cars Ltd as Koenigsegg’s official dealer for Southern China, Hong Kong and Macau, the Koenigsegg Jesko – named after Christian von Koenigsegg’s father – made its appearance in both the old and newly developed parts of Hong Kong and the pictures speaks for itself.

The appearance also celebrates Koenigsegg’s 25th anniversary and it’s entry into the Southern China market – all that “new Silicon Valley money” from Guangzhou now has a new destination.

Kingsway K Cars Ltd will not only sell but provide distribution, after-sales and marketing services for Southern China, Hong Kong and Macau.

The arrival of the Jesko in Hong Kong, its first appearance in the Asia-Pacific region, was celebrated in grandeur at the Ritz-Carlton, fresh from it’s global debut at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show.

The Jesko is the latest megacar by the Swedish innovators and serves as a replacement for the Agera – the car that showed the Bugatti Chiron how brutal acceleration and mind-boggling top speeds are done.

Its numbers simply beggars believe – 1280 hp (1600 hp on E85 fuel) with 1500 Nm of torque from a revised 5.0-litre twin-turbo V8.

While official performance figures have yet to be revealed, something Koenigsegg will not be discreet about, Christian von Koenigsegg has been reported to call the car “Jesko 300” at the 2019 Geneva Motor Show – perhaps an indication of the car’s 300mph top speed, or more.
