Turns out the Lexus UX is quite popular, 8,800 orders in 1 month!

Lexus’ smallest SUV, the Lexus UX broke cover at the 2018 Geneva International Motor Show (GIMS) in February but Lexus only commenced sales of the UX on 27 November 2018. Since then, the Japanese luxury carmaker has collected over 8,800 orders of the new SUV, proving the positive response the world has towards the UX.

Collecting over 8,800 orders one month from its initial launch may not seem like a shocking number but considering that the company sets a monthly sales target of 900 units, it is significant for the Lexus brand.

The UX rides on Lexus Global Architecture – Compact (GA-C) platform which offers the lowest centre of gravity in the company luxury crossover segment. The sharp design is also deliberately done to attract the young and hip demographic.

The UX recently made an appearance at the 2018 Kuala Lumpur International Motor Show (KLIMS) and local distributor, Lexus Malaysia has hinted at a local debut in 2019. Something different from your usual BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA?
