Can you guess what is the Project One’s official name?

In the run-up to the 2018 Paris Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz has just announced the name of their upcoming hypercar. The Project One hypercar will be officially named as Mercedes-AMG ONE.

Very uncreative you may think, but the company’s reasoning to go with ONE is it signifies the pinnacle of Mercedes-AMG’s product line up and also referencing its technological transfer from Formula One (F1) vehicles.

The ONE is essentially an F1 race car made road legal, spotting a 1.6-litre turbocharged V6 engine and four electric motors spewing out a combined output of over 1,000 hp. As a result, 0 to 200 km/h takes under six seconds while top speed is registered at over 350 km/h.

Customers of the ONE can obtain exclusive information on the development progress of the car in a custom mobile showroom entitled “The Future of Driving Performance”. Inside the mobile showroom, future owners have a chance to sit in the cockpit, along with a demonstration of the individual equipment options.
