Video: 2018 BMW X4 xDrive30i First Drive in Spartanburg, USA

The G02 BMW X4 is not officially launched in Malaysia just yet but GC Mah had the opportunity to have a First Drive of the second-generation Sports Activity Coupe (SAC). The model tested is the X4 xDrive30i X-Line which is the most relevant variant to the Malaysian market, here is what GC Mah has to say:

Riding on the new Cluster Architecture platform, the X4 has grown in every dimension while shaving 50 kg in the process. Powering the xDrive30i is a 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder paired to an eight-speed automatic transmission to produce 248 hp and 350 Nm of torque. Drive is channelled to all four corners which allows the X4 to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.

BMW Group Malaysia has previously offered the first-generation X4 in Malaysia with a price tag of over RM400k but did not confirm whether the all-new X4 will be making its local debut. With this handsome new look, perhaps it would pose as a good alternative to the Mercedes-Benz GLC Coupe.
