The Sky View option adds headroom & sunlight to the Bugatti Chiron’s cabin

Just as we thought the option lists for the Bugatti Chiron couldn’t get any longer, the carmaker has added a glass roof option for customers who like additional sunlight and headroom in their ultra-luxury GT car.

Dubbed as the Sky View, it replaces the standard roof with two separate fixed glass panels measuring at 65 cm long and 44 cm wide each. The two glass panels are positioned above the driver’s and passenger’s seat for sunlight to seep in.

Made from four layers of laminated thin glass, the Sky View glass panels were developed to filter out harmful UV rays and dazzle effects to keep the cabin comfortable and cool. One interesting side effect of this Sky View option is that it frees up 27 mm headroom while maintaining the structural rigidity and crash safety rating of the Chiron.

The Bugatti Chiron Sky View is expected to make an appearance at the Monterey Car Week in California at the end of August 2018. Earlier, Malaysia had the utmost privilege to host the Chiron Sport right here on our local soil with a base price of RM12.5 million without taxes and options. We wonder how much this Sky View would add to the eight-figure price tag…
