Video: Mercedes-AMG C43 4MATIC Sedan (CKD) review

Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) now assembles the AMG brand at their local manufacturing plant in Pekan, Pahang and we took the Mercedes-AMG C 43 4MATIC sedan (CKD) out for a spin and learn why is this all-wheel-drive C-Class the global best-selling model for the AMG brand:

Resting under the bonnet is the M276 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 packing 367 hp and 520 Nm of torque paired to a nine-speed G-Tronic automatic transmission. Century sprint is done and dusted in 4.7 seconds and the bi-turbo V6 will continue to rev until the speedometer reads 250 km/h.

If you’re worried of the rear wheels sliding out at every probe of the throttle, the C 43 comes with the AMG 4MATIC all-wheel-drive system to keep the car anchored to the tarmac. However, its rear-biased (31:69 front to rear split) torque distribution allows you to still have a small degree of fun.
