There are dull days at work and then there’s this – the Cars of Malaysia 2018 Tour of Peninsula Malaysia – which we’ll be embarking on with Evo Malaysia and Roda Pusing this Friday (13th July) till next Monday (16th July).
Having recognised and acknowledged all the winners from 35 categories of the Cars of Malaysia 2018 awards, the convoy will bring us to all four corners of Peninsula Malaysia with stops in Penang, Kota Bharu, Kuala Terengganu, Johor Bharu and Malacca before concluding in Putrajaya.
The drive will see us travel almost 2,000 km, with 10 different cars of various makes and models and stops at all the significant places of interests around Peninsula Malaysia, for all our viewers and readers to be up close with the award-winning vehicles. Among them includes the Mercedes-Benz AMG GLA45 and AMG C43 Sedan, Mitsubishi Outlander and Triton, the Volvo V40 and the new XC60 and not to forget the Proton Iriz.
We’ll be gathering at and setting off from Batu Caves, before making our next stop only at the Menara Condong, Teluk Intan. From there, we’ll head to Kellie’s Castle, onward to the Ipoh Railway Station before calling it a day at the Kek Lok Si Temple in Penang.
From Penang, we’ll be heading across Peninsula Malaysia to Kuala Terengganu, not before stopping at the Belum Rainforest en route to Kota Bharu, Gerbang Kota Sultan Ismail Petra and the Crystal Mosque in Kuala Terengganu.
On the third day of the tour, be sure to catch us and the cars at Teluk Cempedak, Sultan Abu Bakar Monument, subsequently at Istana Bukit Serene and finally at Puteri Harbour in Johor Bharu.
On the fourth and final day, we’ll be making our way from Johor Bharu to Kota A’Famosa, Klebang Cococut Shake, Port Dickson and lastly at Putrajaya where the Cars of Malaysia 2018 entourage will be paraded before the end of our grand tour around Peninsula Malaysia.
Those interested are more than welcomed to join us on our convoy on any of the legs, if you own any of the cars that were elected as the “Best 3” in the Cars of Malaysia 2018 awards.
