BMW Group Malaysia has announced that prices for BMW, MINI and BMW Motorrad vehicles will be revised to be zero-rated Goods and Services Tax (GST) until further notice from the Ministry of Finance Malaysia.

All models, CKD and CBU included, will have their prices slashed by at least RM8,600. The pricier fully imported models get the biggest price cut. For example, the BMW M2 Coupe now retails for RM30k less while the i8 is cheaper by some RM69k.

Shoppers looking for a MINI will be delighted to know that they will save up to RM19k on selected models which otherwise would have contributed to GST charges.

Even the recently introduced locally assembled Countryman Plug-in Hybrid is now priced at RM241,420.19, a savings of RM14k as compared to when the 6 percent GST was imposed. Prices quoted are for Personal Registration excluding Insurance.
