Under the hood rests the same 1.4-litre turbocharged four-cylinder TSI engine carried over from the pre-facelift model. The TSI mill is good for 147 hp and 250 Nm of torque, paired to a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch to drive the front wheels. Century sprint is clocked in 8.2 seconds while top speed is capped at 216 km/h.
VPCM offers the Golf 1.4 TSI in two variants – Sportline and R-Line – the latter wears a more aggressive exterior kit and gets more tech for the interior.
