Lexus LS coming to Malaysia in Q1 2018, 3 variants from RM799k to RM1.4 mil

Lexus Malaysia has announced that the company is now accepting orders for the fifth-generation Lexus LS. The full-sized luxury sedan will be offered in three variants – one of which is a hybrid and is expected to hit the Malaysian market sometime in Q1 of 2018.

The base model is the LS Luxury which retails at RM799,000 while the LS Executive costs RM999,000. The range-topping LS Executive Hybrid, on the other hand, will set you back at a hefty RM1,459,000. Prices quoted are On-the-Road without insurance. However, the company has not revealed the powertrain options for the Malaysian market.

Globally, the LS is available with three engine choices – LS 350, LS 500 and LS 500h. The model depicted here is the entry-level LS 350 which is driven by a 3.5-litre naturally aspirated V6 paired to a 10-speed automatic churning out 311 hp and 380 Nm of torque. Stepping up to the LS 500 and the same engine gets slapped on with two turbochargers to deliver 415 hp and 599 Nm of torque. Lastly, the top of the line LS 500h gets a Lexus Multi Stage Hybrid System (3.5L V6 hybrid) to deliver a combined output of 354 hp and 350 Nm of twisting force.

Visually, the LS borrows much of its design cue from the brand’s futuristic LC coupe – which happens to be one of AutoBuzz.my Best Cars of 2017. Sitting on the brand’s latest “Global Architecture – Luxury”, the LS has a wheelbase of 3,125 mm which is 33 mm longer than the previous-gen long-wheelbase model! Key dimensions measures at 5,235 mm in length, 1,450 mm in height and 1,900 mm in width.

It comes with a never-ending list of options such as reclining and Shiatsu massaging rear seats, air suspension, 24-inch colour heads-up display (the largest in the world) and 3D surround Mark Levinson audio package with ceiling mounted speakers, Intuitive Pedestrian Detection with Active Steering and many more. If we know Lexus Malaysia, you can bet Malaysia-bound cars will be armed to the teeth.

All Lexus LS comes with a 5-Years Unlimited Mileage and complete aftersales support at seven locations around Malaysia. Bookings can be made at all authorised Lexus centres across Malaysia. Now, we wonder how much would it cost to have the F-Sport package
