Mazda UK has just unveiled a limited-edition Mazda MX-5 Z-Sport special edition exclusive for the UK market. Identified by its Deep Chery Red fabric roof, new alloy wheel design and Sand interior, the Z-Sport is for individuals who are looking to stand out from the rest.
Visually, the Z-Sport gets a Deep Chery Red fabric roof that was first presented at the recent Tokyo Motor show as well as a Machine Grey metallic paint job. Although we reckon a Pearl White body will look stunning with the red roof too. The limited-edition MX-5 rides on 17-inch multi-spoke black BBS wheels.
Inside, the MX-5 Z-Sport is differentiated by its Sand leather upholstery, Z-Sport floor mats and scuff plates. To further highlight its exclusivity, only 300 units of the Z-Sport will be built, and each car comes with an individually numbered Z-Sport plaque on the dashboard.
Based on the 2.0-litre Sport Nav variant, the MX-5 Z-Sport features a 2.0-litre four-cylinder SkyActiv-G with 158 hp and 200 Nm of torque paired to a six-speed manual transmission to drive the rear wheels. Other performance enhancing equipment include a limited slip differential, Bilstein dampers and a front strut brace.
Unfortunately, Bermaz Motors has officially discontinued the low demand MX-5 soft top in Malaysia leaving the folding hardtop MX-5 RF the only option on sale (manual and auto configuration available).
