Would you buy a van with an interior like this?

Mercedes-Benz has just released a series of official images of its next-generation Sprinter Van. The new commercial van will receive a heavily revised interior that’ll be more akin to the brand’s upmarket passenger cars than a workhorse.

For starters, the multifunctional steering wheel is taken from the S-Class albeit in a different finish. The air vents are turbine style similar to the E-Class Coupe and the all-new CLS. Like all-new generation Mercedes-Benz cars, the gear lever selector is positioned on the right stalk as is the instrument cluster with LCD multi-info display. The new Sprinter Van will also feature powered front seats with memory function as denoted by the door mounted controls.

The large centre floating display screen has its command controls housed on the dash itself in place of the rotary dial selector seen on Mercedes-Benz’s passenger cars. This design helps free the centre tunnel for additional storage space, it is a commercial vehicle after all.

The company will also debut it’s Mercedes PRO connected services for fleet operators to help better manage its Sprinter vans. The networking and telematics solutions help operators to easily keep track of all its Sprinter vans on parameters such as fuel consumption, location, fuel level, service intervals and many more.
