The sixth and final car to join the AMG 43-series model is Mercedes-Benz Malaysia’s (MBM) Masterpiece of Intelligence, the Mercedes-AMG E 43 4MATIC. Sitting at the top of the E Class range, the E 43 currently the most potent 43-series on offer not to mention the most expensive at RM658,888.
Packing the same 3.0-litre bi-turbo V6 as the rest of the 43-series, the mill is massaged to make an additional 34 hp, bringing the total output to 401 hp. Torque however remains at 520 Nm. Power is channelled to all four-wheels via a nine-speed G-Tronic gearbox. The executive sedan will sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.6 seconds and on full whack will hit a limited top speed of 250 km/h.

Like the GLC 43 duo, the E 43 comes standard with AMG Sports Suspension with Air Body Control or airmatic sports suspension. Stopping power comes courtesy of a set of 360 x 36 mm four-piston fixed callipers at the front and 360 x 26 mm one-piston fixed callipers at the rear.
Discerning this purebred AMG from a regular E Class are the AMG diamond radiator grille, large intakes to ensure optimal airflow, chrome finishes, rear lip spoiler, rear diffuser, “BITURBO 4MATIC” lettering on the front fenders and 20-inch five-spoke AMG alloys.
Inside, the E 43 retains all the creature comforts as expected from an E Class – Nappa leather upholstery with red contrast stitching, powered front seats with memory function, keyless entry and start, 360-degree surround camera, panoramic sliding sun roof, Burmester surround sound system, powered rear sun blinds, powered boot and ambient lighting. Some AMG unique trims include Nappa leather wrapped multifunctional sports steering wheel, AMG instrument cluster, red seat belts, AMG door sill panels and AMG floor mats.
