Another iconic machine has reached a milestone, and this time it’s the Chevrolet Corvette which is celebrating its 65th anniversary. Thus Chevrolet has commissioned 650 units of Corvette Carbon 65 Edition, available in either Grand Sport 3LT or Z06 3LZ variant.

As the “carbon” moniker suggests, this Corvette is reinforced by carbon fibre, ranging from the hood, front splitter, and rear spoiler. The coupe gets a carbon fibre roof and intake ducts, while its topless equivalent receives carbon tonneau that complements the blue soft top. The ‘Vette is also finished in Ceramic Matrix Gray paint, with “CARBON 65” lettering on the doors and on the front fenders.

The carbon fibre theme continues on the inside with some carbon accents, and even the steering wheel is not spared from the carbon treatment. The Competition Seats are draped with Jet Black suede.

The Carbon 65 Edition will debut at the 2017 New York International Auto Show, and each car costs $15,000 (approximately RM67k) more than the standard Corvette.
