Peugeot UK just introduced the 208 Black Edition, and it’s only limited to the three-door turbocharged petrol variant.

A choice of three colours can be had – Hurricane Grey, Bianca White and Nera Black, but the latter two come at a slight premium. The Black Edition variant gives gloss black exterior trims, such as the 16-inch wheels, front grille and door mirrors.

Inside, things are nearly identical to the 5-door 208 we have here in Malaysia. There’s a 7-inch touchscreen display with Bluetooth connectivity, Apple CarPlay, Android Auto and smartphone mirroring features.

The biggest difference is the 1.2-litre three-cylinder PureTech engine produces 82 horsepower, instead of the hotter breathing 110 hp/205 Nm tune we have the privilege of getting. Despite the higher performance, Peugeot Malaysia said the 208 turbo, together with a six-speed automatic gearbox, can give up to 1,190 km of range on a single tank of fuel!

Prices for the Peugeot 208 Black Edition begin from £14,595, or about RM80k.
