Naza Italia, the official importer and distributor for Maserati in Malaysia has introduced the 2017 Maserati Ghibli and Ghibli S shortly after its global debut at the Paris Motor Show. The 2017 model sees a number of upgrades to the interior as well as safety features.
Under the hood, both variants remain motivated by a Ferrari built 3.0-litre twin turbo petrol V6 mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission. Power outputs for the base Ghibli has increased from 330 hp to 350 hp while torque figures remain at 500 Nm. This is enough to propel the Italian saloon from standstill to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds and is able to hit a top speed of 267 km/h (up 4 km/h).
For the hotter Ghibli S, it packs 410 hp and 550 Nm of torque under its belt and is able to complete the century sprint 0.5 seconds quicker, along with a higher top speed of 285 km/h.

New features to the interior of the Ghibli include a rotary control knob as well as Apple CarPlay and Android Auto smartphone connectivity for the 8.4-inch infotainment system with multi touch technology and Air Quality Sensor. The cabin of the Ghibli has also been further refined with sound deadening technologies to achieve better aero-acoustic comfort.
The Ghibli is now available with optional Luxury and Sport packages as well as Exterior and Interior Carbon packages. As the term Luxury suggest, the interior will be finished in Zegna Edition Silk and Premium Leather upholstery while the Sport pack features sports seats and sports steering wheel with aluminium shift paddles. The Carbon packages add carbon accents to the interior and exterior.
For improved safety, customers can opt for the optional Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) which includes Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Blind Spot Alert, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning with Advanced Brake Assist and Automated Emergency Braking. Fancy a Surround View Camera? That too is an option.
The 2017 Ghibli and Ghibli S are priced at RM619k and RM709k respectively (includes local duties and tax). Naza Italia is now accepting bookings for both cars.
