Proton recalls Inspira and Exora CPS, faulty parts to be replaced for free

If you are an owner of a Proton Inspira or Exora CPS, this news warrants your fullest attention. Proton is issuing a recall for Inspira manufactured between 2010 to 2014 and Exora CPS made between 2009 to 2015.

This recall exercise for the Inspira is to replace a potentially faulty right-turn indicator switch, and is an extension of Mitsubishi Motors Japan’s recall (on 20 February 2016) regarding the same issue. About 20,330 units of the Inspira are affected, which is a rebadged model of the tenth-generation Mitsubishi Lancer saloon.

As for the Exora, owners are urged to send their cars to the nearest authorised Proton service centers for a precautionary inspection of the fuel line. This impacts approximately 90,000 units of Proton Exora models powered by the 1.6-litre CPS engine.

Once again, owners of the affected models are advised to make an appointment with their preferred service outlets for inspection. All rectification and labour costs, if any, will be borne by Proton.
