In an effort to increase their after sales service, Volkswagen Group Malaysia (VGM) has established a Parts Hub in Shah Alam, one that spans 10,000 sq ft and will store market-specific inventory to reduce vehicular downtime and waiting period.
It’s relatively common these days for Volkswagen owners to be subjected to long waiting periods when sending their cars in for major repair works. The Parts Hub will seek to dramatically reduce this inconvenience by processing order submissions twice a day.
In speeding up this process, VGM will also dispatch orders twice a day to dealerships nationwide, either from the new Parts Hub in Shah Alam or their Parts Centre in Singapore – one that began its operations since July 2014. The facility will receive parts from both the Singapore Centre and Volkswagen’s Kassel plant in Germany.
