Jaguar XE is the most customisable Jaguar ever, over 160 separate accessories [+Video]



When it was launched last year, we know that the Jaguar XE is the most aerodynamic Jag ever, with a drag coefficient of 0.26. Now, Jaguar Land Rover (JLR) proudly claims that the XE is the most configurable Jaguar to date, offering over 160 individual accessories.

This long list of customisation starts from the engine bay, with JLR offering up to seven different engines (brand new Ingenium engine included), and each of these engines come with three suspension settings and up to 12 wheel design options.

Next, your compact executive English sedan is available in 18 colours with up to 24 exterior styling options. Then there’s a good 17 different car care products and maintenance items, including over 40 utility option boxes to tick from. One interesting utility tool is the machined aluminium Rechargeable Torch and Dock, because you never know when you might need one, right?

But wait, that’s not all. For the outgoing, Jaguar offers specially designed roof bars and a unique folding bicycle rack. There is also the aerodynamically optimised 430-litre Sports Roof Box for all your additional equipments, complemented by a chiller built into the central armrest.

On the inside, you get the optional Head-Up Display, Jaguar’s InControl infotainment system with InControl Apps and Remote, a smartphone app for you to lock and unlock your car as well as monitoring fuel levels. The InControl app also lets you pre-heat or pre-cool the cabin from your smartphone before entering the vehicle.

Customers who want more interior individuality can have it done as such, whilst still able to choose from the optional rubberised floor and Premium Seat Back Stowage for secure storage. Ambient lighting – one of everyone’s favourite – can be fitted too, this time with 10 varying colours to suit your mood. Other accessories to dress up the car comprise of carpets with embossed Jaguar logos, personalised illuminated scuff plates and R-type multi-function steering wheel.

Safety options wise, there’s the XE-only child safety seats, Autonomous Emergency Braking, Lane Departure Warning, Traffic Sign Recognition and 360-degree parking sensors.
