Second gen Audi R8 V10 Plus prototype test driven on the track [+Video]

Making yet another grand appearance at the Geneva Motor Show next week is the second generation supercar from Ingolstadt, the Audi R8. We know only very little about the car, and by little we mean just the LED and laser headlights as well as some obvious aerodynamic tweaks to the front bumper.

Last week, Audi released a short video of their range topping R8 V10 Plus lapping a circuit at the hands of Frank Stippler, Audi’s very own in-house test driver. From the video, we learned that the V10 Plus variant (5.2-litre) makes 610 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque from the naturally aspirated mill. It reportedly sprints from standstill to 100 km/h in 3.2 seconds, an impressive 0.3 seconds quicker than its preceding model.

The second generation Audi R8 is set to make its world debut in exactly a week’s time at the 85th Geneva Motor Show. This is one Audi you would not want to miss, so don’t blink away!
