Acura teases production version of the NSX, due for world debut next month [+Video]



The NSX nameplate is no stranger to the world of high performance sports cars. As promised, the all-new NSX featuring Honda’s Super Handling All Wheel Drive (SH-AWD) system is bound for the 2015 North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in January.

What’s most interesting is that we will be treated to view the production version of the Acura NSX, so no more concept car-esque traits here. As with the previous NSX, the new one by Acura will also get a mid-engine configuration that will now drive all four wheels.

Like the LaFerrari, McLaren P1 and Porsche 918, the Acura NSX’s twin-turbocharged engine will be paired to not one, but three electric motors. Expect a power output no less than 500hp and 600 Nm of torque! There is however, no mention of transmission choice here, so we’ll have to wait for the official word.
