Perusahaan Otomobil Kedua, Perodua launched yet another new edition of its Myvi, the colourful Perodua Myvi XT. It now comes with more goodies and with the same price as before, from RM41,936.45 to RM45,436.45. Launched alongside it are the upgraded Myvi 1.5 Extreme and “What’s up Graduate?” program.

First introduced in May 2005, Perodua Myvi celebrates its 9th Anniversary this year, maintaining its good track record since then. A total of 750,000 units have been sold making this B-segment hatchback the best-selling model for 8 consecutive years, contributing 50% of Perodua’s sales. At its peak, 99,000 units were sold in 2013 alone.
Launched with catchy and young tagline “OMV (oh-my-vi)”, the new Perodua Myvi XT is now the standard 1.3-litre Myvi, targeting tertiary students and fresh graduates who are looking for their first car, hence the “What’s Up Graduate?” program. Perodua is looking at selling 1,600 XT a month.

What’s New?
The’XT’ stands for ‘Extra’, which means the new Myvi XT comes with more goodies. In fact, there are RM1,600 worth of new features that come without extra cost.
1. 5-spoke alloy rims

4. New body colours: Lime Green, Dazzling Red
5. Chrome front grille
In terms of performance, it is still powered by the same 1.3-litre, 4-cylinder, 16-valve DOHC with DVVT engine. It produces 90 horsepower and 117 Nm of torque.
The Upgraded Perodua Myvi 1.5 Extreme
The improved Myvi 1.5 Extreme now comes with solar and security film tinting, PVC coil mat, multimedia system with red illumination and new leather seat cover design. Price is maintained as before, starting from RM61,240.50. Only automatic transmission is available.
What’s Up Graduate?
University students and fresh graduates can now own a Perodua vehicle with more perks! The second national carmaker now offers a voucher worth RM500, petrol card worth RM500 and a free RM20,000 personal accident policy covery for one year.
