McLaren 720S in Fux Fuchsia debuts, owner has exclusive rights to the colour!

As the illustrious 2017 Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance went into full swing last weekend, McLaren was proud to take centre stage with a bespoke McLaren 720S for a US-based customer. The one-off example is not only unlike any other McLaren, McLaren Special Operations (MSO) will not be replicating this colour for any other customers no matter the price.

Commissioned by Entrepreneur and Philanthropist, Michael Fux, the “Fux Fuchsia” paint job was originally created by Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Limited and subsequently redeveloped by MSO for Mr Fux. Additionally, Mr Fux retains exclusive rights to this Fux Fuchsia colour. Talk about bespoke! Other MSO-specified items include carbon fibre exterior pack and stealth wheels with Fux Fuchsia pinstripe.

Inside, Mr Fux’s 720S is furnished in white leather with white stitching . Even the Alcantara floor mats are white in colour. The cabin is accented with Fux Fuchsia elements around the steering wheel, rear view mirror housing and door cards.

McLaren Automotive Executive Director, Global Sales and Marketing, Jolyon Nash commented, “MSO provides McLaren owners with virtually limitless possibilities to tailor a car exactly to their needs and tastes; unique paint colours and finishes, custom leather and stitching and exotic materials are all available within a bespoke commission, while beyond this there are opportunities all the way up to complete vehicles designed to individual specification.”

Michael Fux has previously commissioned a McLaren MP4-12C in McLaren Orange, a MP4-12C Spider in bespoke purple and a McLaren P1 in bespoke green.
