Lexus Malaysia has just introduced the updated Lexus NX range along with a new Special Edition variant, bringing the total number of variants to six – NX 200t, NX 200t Premium, NX 200t Luxury, NX 200t F Sport and NX 300h.
Despite the weakening Ringgit, Lexus Malaysia has managed to maintain the pricing of the NX range while providing significant value added features to the base NX 200t model. Prices start from RM310k for the base variant and goes all the way up to RM398k for the range topping NX 300h.

While mechanically unchanged, Lexus said the updated NX comes with progressional upgrades, a process they call kaizen (constant improvement).
Like before, the NX is available with two powertrains – a 2.0-litre four-cylinder twin scroll turbo with VVT-iW producing 235 hp/350 Nm and a 2.5-litre four-cylinder hybrid with 197 hp. The hybrid motor is mated to a CVT while the blown motors are fitted with a six-speed automatic developed in-house.
The base NX 200t benefits from the most number of upgrades, including full LED headlamps and fog lamps (previously LED and halogen combination and no fog lamps), automatic wipers, Lexus Smart Card key and 18-inch five-spoke alloys wrapped in 225/60 profile tyres. On the other hand, powered tailgate and panoramic sunroof are also fitted as standard across all variants.
The NX 200t Special Edition commands a RM2,000 premium over the base NX 200t adds an exclusive black theme to the exterior, including blacked out front grille, black wing mirror caps, dark film interior trim and blacked out 18-inch five-spoke alloy wheels.
A total of five exterior colours are available to choose from – Sonic Quartz, Platinum Silver, Sonic Titanium, Graphite Black Glass Flake, and Red Mica Crystal Shine. On the other hand, Lava Orange Chrystal Shine and Heat Blue are exclusively reserved for the NX 200t F Sport. All new NX purchased will come with a 5-Year unlimited mileage warranty while the NX 300h gets an additional 8-Year battery assurance programme for the hybrid battery.
