Meet Nissan’s new electric vehicle ambassador – Margot Robbie. Famously known for her role in the Wolf of Wall Street and portraying Harley Quinn in Suicide Squad, the Australian actress solemnised her role by racing the Nissan BladeGlider around Monaco Grand Prix Circuit at midnight.
The BladeGlider is an all-electric prototype capable of producing about 270 hp and 708 Nm of twisting force. It will sprint from 0 to 100km/h in under five seconds and boasts an incredible top speed of 190km/h.

Nissan remains optimistic about the future of electric cars, partially fuelled by the high global demand for the Nissan Leaf. The Japanese carmaker also said the adoption rate of electric cars globally are increasing year by year, as more motorists are making a conscious effort to reduce carbon footprint and be part of the “sustainability” movement.
Why Margot Robbie, then? Nissan says her ambassadorial role will support the brand in spreading news of the personal and societal benefits of electric cars to more people than ever before. Well, it sure seems that Nissan is dead serious about their EVs now. Just don’t forget to give us the new GT-R R36, okay?
