Aston Martin Vantage Red Bull Racing Edition unveiled

Aston Martin has come to a point of introducing special edition variants after special edition variants. Besides the all-new AM-RB 001 hybrid hypercar venture and DB 11, there’s few to look forward to. If you’re an avid Vantage fan though, this one’s news to you.

The Gaydon-based company has just introduced the Aston Martin Vantage Red Bull Racing Edition. This incredibly mouthful car is based on the V8 and V12 Vantage S models, yet exclusively tailored to celebrate the partnership between the two entities. Also, these are the bespoke creations of Q by Aston Martin.

The exterior is finished with Red Bull Racing’s Mariana Blue paint (satin finish) that’s contrasted with red accents and yellow brake callipers, just like the F1 car. A Tungsten Silver alternative can also be had. New to the Vantage are the front splitter, front grille, side strakes and rear diffuser that are all made from carbon fibre.

The Formula One theme carries on inside, with the head restraints featuring Red Bull Racing embroidery, diamond-quilted seats, carbon fibre trim and Alcantara steering wheel. As an added bonus, customers can have either current RBR drivers, Daniel Ricciardo or Max Verstappen, to sign the vehicle’s inspection plates.

Mechanically, the Vantage remains unchanged, with the V8 variant getting a 430 hp 4.7-litre unit while the V12 S variant gets a 563 hp 5.9-litre engine under its hood. The V12 Vantage S currently holds the quickest production car in the carmaker’s current stable.

The Aston Martin Vantage Red Bull Racing editions could be one of the last to be based on the Vantage. Its successor, the DB11 GT, will soon be unveiled in all its glory that’s part of Aston Martin’s Second Century plan.
