Infiniti Q60 Sports Coupe confirmed for Malaysian introduction – 1H 2017



Just a few months ago, production of the all-new Infiniti Q60 Sports Coupe began at the company’s manufacturing facility in Tochigi, Japan. It dons a sportier, more emotive styling complemented by the brand new and highly vibrant Dynamic Sandstone Red paint.

Infiniti Malaysia is in the midst of finalising the Q60’s specifications, and its estimated date of arrival will be between March and April 2017. This front-engined, rear wheel drive coupe is powered by two engines, either a 2.0-litre four-cylinder or 3.0-litre V6 engines. They’re both turbocharged, with the four potter making 205 hp and 350 Nm while the V6 makes either 296 hp and 400 Nm or 398 hp and 475 Nm. All variants will make do with a seven-speed automatic with Adaptive Shift Control.

Is there actual substance to go with the agent provocateur? You bet. There’s a new variable, speed-sensitive steering wheel (they call it Direct Adaptive Steering) and six driving modes – Standard, Snow, Eco, Customise, Sport and Sport+. In standard guise, the Q60 sits on 19-inch alloys, but there is also a 20-inch option. The 2.0-litre variant comes with all-new shock absorbers with improved shock tuning and bushings. The V6 on the other hand, gets Digital Dynamic Suspension and its dedicated set of dampers.

Currently, Infiniti Malaysia is selling the Q60 (otherwise known as G37 Coupe) for RM411k.
