Ford Malaysia, through Sime Darby Auto Connexion (SDAC), has refreshed the Ford Ranger lineup with updated variants, new engine options, and the introduction of a new Ranger Sport V6. Prices now start from RM127,888 on-the-road, without insurance.
- Ford Ranger Platinum 3.0L V6 – RM205,888

The Ford Ranger Platinum and the new Ranger Sport variants now receive the 3.0-litre turbocharged V6 diesel engine that first debuted with the Ranger Wildtrak V6. As before, the engine produces 250 hp and 600 Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel-drive (4WD) system.
As for the 2.0-litre options in the Ranger Sport and Ranger XL, they all now share the same 2.0-litre single-turbo diesel engine, essentially phasing out the previous 2.0-litre bi-turbo unit. The engine produces 170 hp and 405 Nm of torque, paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission (new for the Ranger XL) and 4WD system. Compared to the old 2.0-litre bi-turbo unit, this represents a slight power drop from the previous 210 hp and 500 Nm of the bi-turbo unit.
All variants will come with six drive modes consisting of Normal, Eco, Tow/Haul, Slippery, Mud/Ruts, and Sand.
As for the exterior of the car, the three updated variants feature exterior equipment that’s pretty much unchanged from their respective trims. Standard interior equipment in the Ranger XL includes:

Included in the price is a 5-year/160,000km warranty, while the Platinum and Sport models come complimentary with a 2-year service package. additionally, those who purchase the who purchase the Ranger XL and Ranger Sport 2.0L by 31 August 2026 will receive a complimentary Ford Front Dashcam while purchases of Ranger Sport 3.0L and Ranger Platinum 3.0L will receive a complimentary two-year Basic Extended Service Plan (ESP).
