Carmakers have cooked up some wild concepts over the decades to showcase their design direction or future ideas. This thing then, the Aston Martin Dreadnought, is technically not a concept – but it’s so conceptual that it does not even exist physically… unless you’re shooting it out in the virtual world of the latest Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 game.
Even as the British marque has rolled out some coveted machines such as the Aston Martin Valour and Valiant, the Dreadnought is something no amount of money can buy because it simply doesn’t exist in the real world.
Aston Martin worked closely with game’s developer, Infinity Ward, and publisher, Activision, to design the Dreadnought as a military vehicle for the virtual battlefield without the constraints of reality.
Not being restrained by reality means an Aston Martin like never before. It is very much a product of Gaydon, meaning a V12 engine – albeit a virtual one – and all-wheel drive.

Keeping the soldiers safe are advanced armour and adaptive combat zone intelligence systems, with reserve fuel tanks and weapon storage systems for use during the game.
Being an Aston Martin, some aspects are not to be trifled with. This means there is still a touch of luxury, even amidst a cratered warzone. Oxford Tan leather trims the dashboard and door panels with gold adorning the gear lever while the door hinges are anodised in Satin Gold… because why not. On the outside, the carbon fibre bodywork features a herringbone weave and is finished in their signature shade of Chiltern Green.

The term dreadnought is a compounded word with the definition of “fear nothing,” but also stems from a class of early 20th century battleships, spearheaded by the Royal Navy’s HMS Dreadnought during World War I.
Call of Duty Modern Warfare 4 comes out on 23 October 2026. All the money in the world might not be able to buy you a Dreadnought but if you can save up for a copy of the game, that’s close enough in our books.
