Lamborghini has unveiled the Urus SE Performante, the latest evolution of its plug-in hybrid (PHEV) super SUV. As its name suggests, it takes the electrified Urus SE and turns the aggression up a notch, combining sharper styling, reduced weight and enhanced performance in the same spirit as previous Performante models.
Power still comes from the same 4.0-litre twin-turbo V8 paired with electric motors, but output has been bumped up to 812 hp and 1,000 Nm — 12 hp and 50 Nm more than the Urus SE, and a substantial 146 hp and 150 Nm more than the previous Urus Performante. Drive is sent through an 8-speed ZF automatic transmission, while power for the electric systems come from a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, good for up to 60 km of EV-only range and a top speed of 130 km/h in electric mode.
Combined, the Urus SE Performante sprints from 0-100 km/h in just 3.3 seconds, and keeps pulling to 200 km/h in 10.8 seconds, before topping out at 312 km/h. That’s enough for Lamborghini to call it “the fastest Super SUV in the world.” The power management software has also been reworked to reduce response times, minimise torque lag, and improve the car’s responsiveness to driver input.
Bearing the Performante name, weight loss has been just as much a focus as the extra power. Carbon fibre now features extensively across the front hood, roof, wheel arches, side skirts, and rear diffuser, while the exhaust system — developed with Akrapovič — has been upgraded with titanium parts, saving 10 kg on its own.

A new Integrated Power Brake (IPB) system trims a further 4 kg, and even the cabin has been put on a diet, with optimised NVH packaging shedding 3.3 kg and the exclusive Corsa Tex by Dinamica technical trim, now standard, cutting another 2.7 kg. Combined, the Urus SE Performante weighs in at 2,473 kg, 32 kg lighter than the standard Urus SE, bringing its power-to-weight ratio down to an impressive 3 kg per hp.
Handling has been sharpened with new 6D sensors borrowed from the limited-run Fenomeno, which measure movement across three spatial axes along with the angular velocities tied to pitch, roll, and yaw. The new IPB system plays a big role here too, enhancing the car’s dynamic capabilities for greater precision, responsiveness, and driving confidence. It does away with the “on-off” interventions of a conventional ABS system, instead allowing fluid modulation of braking torque at each caliper. Eight accelerometers — one on each wheel and one at each corner of the chassis — continuously analyse longitudinal and lateral tyre grip while tracking body roll in real time, letting the IPB process that data for highly predictive brake management and optimal control.
The result is a 10% increase in braking power and a 12% improvement in system responsiveness over the previous Urus Performante, achieved without any substantial changes to the braking hardware itself.
The new Urus SE Performante also feature a new dual-chamber and dual-valve air suspension setup, which delivers 55% less body roll and 25% fewer “comfort-related vibrations” compared to the outgoing Urus Performante. The track width has also grown by 16mm for good measure. There’s a new Rally mode too, specifically calibrated for dirt surfaces and joining the existing Strada, Sport, and Corsa drive modes.

Inside, a new 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen features graphics inspired by the Revuelto, sitting alongside the existing 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 12.3-inch centre console screen. The car also introduces a new steering wheel exclusive to the Urus SE Performante, fitted with an additional carbon fibre bezel for an even sportier feel.
Lamborghini hasn’t announced pricing yet, but says the new Urus SE Performante sits at the top of the Super SUV range. Expect it to cost significantly more than the Urus SE in Malaysia, which is priced from RM1,028,000.
