New Marine Blue paint colour for Tesla Model 3 – RM5k add-on, replaces Deep Blue Metallic

Tesla Malaysia has announced an update to the Model 3 colour options, introducing Marine Blue as a new hue for the sedan, replacing Deep Blue Metallic. The new paint option is priced at RM5,000, keeping the total colour selection at six for the local market. Unlike the outgoing Deep Blue Metallic, Marine Blue is a darker and more muted shade with a denim-like hue.

Stealth Grey remains the only colour offered as standard, with the rest of the palette available as paid options. Alongside the new Marine Blue, Pearl White Multi-Coat and Diamond Black are also available for that same RM5,000. For a more premium finish, Quicksilver and Ultra Red carry a higher price tag of RM11,000.

The new colour is available across the entire Tesla Model 3 lineup in Malaysia, which was expanded in October 2025 with the introduction of the Model 3 Long Range Rear-Wheel Drive (RWD) variant. Priced from RM185,000 before options, this addition brings the local selection to four distinct variants, ranging from the RM169,000 base RWD variant to the range-topping Model 3 Performance priced from RM229,000.

As the option with the longest range, the Model 3 Long Range RWD offers up to 750 km (WLTP) in a single charge. This is 90 km more than the 660 km (WLTP) offered by the Long Range All-Wheel Drive (AWD) model, which was previously the range leader in the stable.

In classic Tesla fashion, no detailed powertrain specifications are disclosed, except for a 0–100 km/h sprint in 5.2 seconds. This suggests that the Long Range RWD is more powerful than the base Model 3 RWD, which completes the same century sprint in 6.1 seconds.
