Video: Bufori CS8, a Malaysian-made sportscar for RM2.1 million

In case you’re unaware, based right here in Kepong, Kuala Lumpur is an Australian-Malaysian coachbuilder that is known for its hand-assembled luxury cars. They’re called, Bufori, and their latest creation – which took 10 years to painstakingly create – is the Bufori CS8, now available for orders from RM2,188,000.

Powering this locally made super grand tourer is the well-known 6.4-litre supercharged Hemi V8 engine, producing 810 hp and 750 Nm of torque. All of that power is sent directly to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic gearbox, enabling a 0-100 km/h time of just 3.0 seconds and an electronically limited top speed of 330 km/h.

This monster of an engine is packaged in an exterior made from a Carbon-Kevlar monocoque body that is moulded with modern and retro design touches, which results in a kerb weight of approximately 1,550 kg.

Inside, if you’re wealthy enough to order one, you can quite literally customise the interior with anything you can think of, from a variety of colours for the leather upholstery to custom embroidery, making your Bufori CS8 truly bespoke. The only limits, of course, are your imagination and your bank account – as Bufori says each CS8 will be made to order and no two CS8s will ever be the same.
