The Bat-Signal has lit up Mumbai’s skies, and Mahindra has answered with the Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition — an all-electric SUV inspired by Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight Trilogy. There will only be 300 refer to exist, and they will all be locked away in India, Bruce Wayne style.
The Mahindra BE 6 measures 4,371 mm in length, 1,907 mm in width, 1,627 mm in height, and has a wheelbase of 2,775 mm. This places it in the C-segment category of electric SUVs and is comparable in size to cars such as the BYD Atto 3, the MG S5 EV, and Proton eMAS 7.
The Mahindra BE 6 sports a bold, futuristic design. Up front, claw-like DRLs and pronounced bonnet haunches give it a rugged stance. Down the sides, tall fenders, sharp cladding, and a strong character line emphasize its athletic profile, while the squashed windows enhance its sporty appeal. At the rear, slim taillights mirror the front design and are paired with a split rear wing, completing its striking presence.
Adding to its hyper-futuristic exterior design are the Batman touches, littered throughout the exterior like a BMW optioned with the M Sport trim. The logos pop up everywhere: on the front quarter panels, hub caps, rear bumper, windscreen, roof, and even the carpet lighting. The front doors carry a massive Batman graphic, complemented by 20-inch alloy wheels with gold-painted suspension and striking brake callipers.
The Batman aesthetic continues in the car’s interior, starting with a numbered Gold “Batman Edition” plaque on the centre console. The same gold theme can also be found on the steering wheel, buttons, and suede and leather upholstery. Finishing touches include a pinstripe graphic and bat emblem across the passenger dashboard, tying the whole interior theme together.
In true Batman fashion, the car even comes with a custom key fob finished in Alchemy gold. Bat emblems are embossed on the “Boost” button, seats, and interior labels, while exclusive Batman Edition welcome animations light up the infotainment display.
The racecar-inspired door opening straps also carry unique branding, adding to the sense of occasion. Rounding it all off, the car even gets a custom Batman-inspired exterior “engine” sound — perhaps it’ll sound like “The Tumbler” seen in The Dark Knight movies.
In this limited Batman Edition guise, the Mahindra BE 6 features the marque’s 79 kWh “pack 3” battery, giving it a driving range of 683 km under India’s MIDC test cycle. This supplies power to a rear-mounted electric motor that produces 285 hp and 380 Nm of torque.

With the Batman Edition, we wanted to go further — to create something so personal, so visually arresting, that owning it feels like owning a piece of cinematic history. We’ve obsessed over even the smallest detail, so that every time you look at it, you discover something new.”
Priced from INR2.8 million (approx. RM135k) in India, the Mahindra BE 6 Batman Edition will be open for orders on 23 August, with deliveries starting 20 September, or as some of you might know, International Batman Day – fittingly.
