Cycle & Carriage adds Peugeot to its portfolio, signs with Stellantis Malaysia


Cycle & Carriage has entered into a strategic alliance with Stellantis Malaysia. This collaboration will see the introduction of the Peugeot brand to Cycle & Carriage’s portfolio. The move signifies a strategic expansion for the company as it seeks to capitalize on growth opportunities within the Malaysian automotive market.

The partnership will see Cycle & Carriage retailing multiple Stellantis brands, leveraging its extensive network and customer base. This strategic move positions both companies for growth and success in the competitive Malaysian automotive market.

Collaborating with Cycle & Carriage is part of Stellantis Malaysia’s dealer expansion efforts. This strategic expansion not only aims to strengthen the brand’s foothold in the country but also to identify key locations to be able to provide accessible and top-quality service to its customers nationwide in their communities.

Cycle & Carriage Malaysia will begin offering Peugeot vehicles at its existing showrooms in Cheras and Batu Caves by the end of 2024. The Cheras dealership will be a 1S centre while the Batu Caves will be a 2S centre. The company plans to expand Peugeot’s presence in Malaysia, including further dealership openings in northern and southern regions by 2025. For the northern area, the partnership has been looking to tap in the Georgetown, Penang. This partnership marks another milestone for Cycle & Carriage and Stellantis, following their successful collaboration in Singapore and Vietnam.

During a Q&A session, Cycle & Carriage confirmed the the establishment of a dedicated management team to oversee Stellantis brands in Malaysia following today’s partnership announcement. While initial Peugeot showrooms will share space with existing Mercedes-Benz outlets in Cheras and Batu Caves, the company emphasizes a clear distinction between the two brands to cater to their respective customer bases.
