Lepas has officially launched the Lepas L6 electric vehicle (EV) crossover in Thailand, making the Land of Smiles the first Southeast Asian country to officially launch a model from Chery’s newest sub-brand. Fully imported (CBU) from China, the L6 is offered there in two variants, priced from THB769,900 (approx. RM94k) for the Comfort to THB829,900 (approx. RM101k) for the Premium.
The Lepas L6 EV measures 4,570 mm long, 1,852 mm wide, 1,683 mm tall and has a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. It’s the middle child of the Lepas model lineup — similarly sized to other C-segment EV crossovers like the Proton eMAS 7 (stylized as e.MAS 7) and the BYD Atto 3.
On the outside, the L6 wears sharp ‘Hunting Eye’ LED headlights up front and a rear lightbar out back, all wrapped around smooth, flowing body contours. The car rolls on 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels, which helps round off that sleek profile nicely.
Inside, the Lepas L6 is treated to various features typically seen in cars above its price point. The driver is treated to an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, which is paired with a 13.2-inch portrait-oriented infotainment display that supports both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
Adding to its luxuries, the car features a leather interior with zig-zag stitching, an 18-speaker Sony sound system, 50-watt wireless charging, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.
Both variants of the Lepas L6 EV come with the same front-mounted (FWD) electric motor setup. Here, it produces 218 hp and 275 Nm of torque, allowing for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 7.9 seconds.
Energy is stored in a 65.05 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, enabling a range of up to 510 km on the NEDC test cycle. To charge it up, the L6 supports up to 120 kW DC fast charging, taking it from 30-80% in just 20 minutes. There’s also 3.3 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, allowing drivers to charge household appliances on the go.

As expected of a modern Chinese EV, the L6 comes equipped with a full suite of cameras, sensors, as well as an Nvidia Orin Y chip. This powers a comprehensive list of Level 2 advanced driver assistance (ADAS) functions, including full-speed adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and lane keep assist.
Lepas has already been confirmed for Malaysia, and the brand has signed distribution agreements with 20 local partners — a sign that things are moving quickly behind the scenes. The Lepas L4 has already been spotted in Malaysia during a promotional shoot, though it remains unconfirmed whether the L4 or L6 will launch here first. Either way, with the L6 already up and running in Thailand, it shouldn’t take long until Lepas comes to our shores too.
