All-new fully-electric Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ Technology now open for ROI in Malaysia

Just three months after the model’s global debut in September 2025, it appears the all-new Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ technology is now heading towards Malaysia soon, with registration of interest (ROI) for the fully-electric SUV now open on the Mercedes-Benz Malaysia website.

A key model in the marque’s renewed assault on electrification, the new Mercedes-Benz GLC measures significantly larger than its predecessor, the EQC. Dimensions wise, the electric SUV measures 4,845 mm long, 1,913 mm wide, and 1,644 mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,972 mm.

Visually, the model aligns more closely with its internal combustion sibling, ditching the divisive “one-bow” design language of previous EQ models. A standout feature is the new front grille, which Mercedes-Benz calls the “Iconic Grille.” Said to be inspired by classic models from the 1950s to 1970s, the design incorporates 942 illuminated pixel graphics. At its centre lies an illuminated Mercedes-Benz star, ensuring everyone knows exactly what you’re driving with just a quick glimpse in their rearview mirror.

The grille is flanked by a pair of headlights, which also house a Mercedes-Benz star within. These units can be optioned with the company’s new Digital Light system, claimed to expand the illumination field by 40% while consuming 50% less energy.

Like the headlights, the taillights of the GLC with EQ technology also feature the iconic Mercedes-Benz star motif. However, unlike the all-new Mercedes-Benz CLA, the GLC features four of these stars at the rear instead of two.

Inside, the Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ technology features a dashboard dominated by the all-new MBUX Hyperscreen. This setup comprises an end-to-end 39.1-inch display that spans the entire width from the driver to the passenger side. Powering this massive interface is the MB.OS “superbrain,” an AI-driven operating system designed to learn and adapt to the driver’s needs.

At launch, the Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ Technology is available in the 400 4Matic with EQ Technology variant. This model is underpinned by an all-new drivetrain architecture, featuring electric motors equipped with silicon carbide inverters for improved efficiency, along with a new two-speed gearbox on the rear motor.

In terms of performance, the GLC 400 4Matic with EQ Technology generates 489 hp (360 kW), allowing for a 0-100 km/h sprint in 4.3 seconds and a top speed of 210 km/h. Equipped with a 94 kWh NMC battery pack, it boasts a range of up to 713 km (WLTP).

Thanks to its 800V architecture, the SUV supports DC fast charging at speeds of up to 300 kW. This enables up to 300 km of range to be regained in just 10 minutes. Standard AC charging is rated at 11 kW, which can be optionally increased to 22 kW.

In the European market, the Mercedes-Benz GLC with EQ technology comes equipped with a comprehensive suite of ADAS features as standard. The system utilises a hardware array comprising ten cameras, five radar sensors, and twelve ultrasonic sensors.

All of this is processed by a water-cooled, high-performance computer with sufficient power reserves to support future functions via regular over-the-air updates.

While Malaysians await the arrival of the electric model, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia has also recently launched the new Mercedes-Benz GLC 200 4Matic, priced at RM329,888, and the plug-in hybrid Mercedes-Benz GLE 400 e 4Matic, priced at RM498,888.
