Order books for Lexus’ first all-electric model in Malaysia, the Lexus RZ, have just been opened. Offered in a sole variant, the RZ450e, the all-electric SUV can be yours at RM429,888.
Sitting on the brand’s e-TNGA platform, which also underpins the Toyota bZ4x and the Subaru Solterra, the Lexus RZ450e in Malaysia comes with six exterior colour options. This includes the Sonic Quartz, Sonic Chrome, Sonic Iridium, Graphite Black, Sonic Cooper, and Aether Metallic.
On the outside, the Lexus RZ450e in Malaysia also comes with equipment such as the Single Projector Bi-AHS LED headlights, the Lexus Signature LED daytime running lights (DRLs), and LED taillights with the Lexus Signature L-bar design. The all-electric premium SUV is also fitted with a set of 20-inch alloy wheels in Black and Bright Machined Finish.
Moving inside, the Malaysian-spec Lexus RZ450e is only available in one interior colour option, namely the Grayscale Ultrasuede Leather with Tsuyasumi Trim, at least for the moment. It is also kitted with the 13-speaker Mark Levinson surround sound system, a 7-inch digital instrument display, and a 14-inch touchscreen infotainment display with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay connectivity.

Powering the Lexus RZ450e in Malaysia is a dual-motor setup producing 230 kW (313 hp metric) and 435 Nm. Power is sent to all four wheels via Lexus’ Direct4 all-wheel drive (AWD) system, enabling the SUV to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.3 seconds and reach an electronically limited top speed of 160 km/h.
Thanks to a 71.4 kWh battery pack, the Lexus RZ450e can carry you as far as 440 km (WLTP) on a single charge. Speaking of charging, the RZ450e in Malaysia can receive AC charging at a maximum rate of 11 kW and DC charging at a maximum rate of 150 kW. The former can juice up the battery from flat to full in 6.5 hours, while the latter can top up the battery from 0 to 80% in 30 minutes.
Safety-wise, the Lexus RZ450e in Malaysia is equipped with the Lexus Safety System+ ADAS suite. This gives the premium all-electric SUV features such as Front Pre-Collision System (PCS), Dynamic Radar Cruise Control (DRCC) with Stop & Go Function and Curve Speed Reduction, Lane Keeping System (LKS), Road Sign Assist (RSA), and so on.
To give its customers peace of mind, Lexus Malaysia is packing the RZ450e with an 8-year/unlimited mileage warranty for the car’s EV battery, ECU, and inverter.
