The Chinese BEV brand. The appointed official distributor for XPeng Malaysia is Bermaz Auto with the newly created Bermaz Xpeng Sdn. Bhd. The Bermaz group of company is currently the brand group of company custodians for Mazda and Kia in Malaysia, with Peugeot recently transferred back to Stellantis under Stellantis Malaysia.

Bermaz is currently taking calculated steps with the introduction of XPeng brand in Malaysia, preferring a slow and steady approach. You know, we cannot jump on the bandwagon. I mean, we buy this car, and if the take-up is low, then what are you going to do? You have to offer discounts! “That is not what Bermaz is all about. Bermaz is all about building the equity value of the brands we represent, so that people have confidence in buying the car, rather than waiting for discounts.”

Previously Bermaz stated or confirmed that the Xpeng G6 will be Xpeng Malaysia’s first model in the country.
