Video: 2024 Chery Tiggo 7 Pro in Malaysia – All you need in a modern SUV


Earlier in March this year, Chery Malaysia previewed to the Malaysian media its C-segment SUV, the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro. If you are interested in the Tiggo 7 Pro, you will be happy to know that order books for the car have been opened. Its official launch here is also scheduled to happen soon.

Set to rival C-segment SUVs such as the Honda CR-V and Proton X70 in Malaysia, the Tiggo 7 Pro measures 4,513 mm long, 1,862 mm wide, and 1,696 mm tall, and is underpinned by a 2,670 mm long wheelbase. On the outside, it gets kits like LED headlights as well as LED taillights that extend across the width of the car.

Powering the Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is a 1.6-litre turbocharged inline-4 petrol engine that makes 197 hp and 290 Nm. Paired with a 7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT), the Tiggo 7 Pro is able to sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.3 seconds.

Inside, the Malaysian-spec Chery Tiggo 7 Pro is included with leatherette seats, ventilation function for the front seats, and a 24.6-inch dual-screen setup that supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. There is also a panoramic sunroof and a 50 W wireless charging pad.

Safety-wise, the Tiggo 7 Pro is equipped with the carmaker’s ADAS 2.5 safety suite which comes with a total of 16 safety functions. This includes features like Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Integrated Cruise Assist (ICA), Lane Departure Prevention (LDP), and Blind-spot Detection (BSD). There is also a 540° camera system to make manoeuvring the car around an easier experience.
