Chery Malaysia has announced the availability of a new “Extra Peace of Mind” extended service maintenance and warranty package for the Omoda 5 and Tiggo 8 Pro, designed to offer additional peace of mind to new customers.
For an additional RM11,600, which can be optioned during their purchase of either the Omoda 5 or Tiggo 8 Pro, the Extra Peace of Mind Package includes essential maintenance and scheduled services for the first seven years of ownership, alongside a 10-year/1 million km mileage warranty for the engine.
The scheduled maintenance will cover the replacement of the usual fluids and wear-and-tear items, including engine oil, engine oil filter, radiator coolant, brake fluid, air filter, spark plugs, engine oil washer, and transmission oil.
Chery says in a press release that customers can also rest assured that as their vehicles will only be serviced at authorised Chery dealerships nationwide, only genuine Chery parts will be used for the maintenance of their cars to ensure top-quality service, while also enhancing the resale value of their vehicles in the future.
With the Extra Peace of Mind Package, customers also won’t be affected by the increasing prices of spare parts and maintenance costs over time, the company adds.
The new service and warranty package is not currently offered on the marque’s latest model here in Malaysia, the Chery Omoda E5, although the fully electric crossover already has a fairly extensive warranty coverage, which includes a 7-year/150,000km vehicle warranty, an 8-year/160,000km battery warranty, and an 8-year/160,000km drive unit warranty that covers the power motor, motor control unit, battery management system, and vehicle control unit.
Additionally, Chery Malaysia is also offering a one-to-one exchange if the battery’s state of health falls below 70% during the warranty period.
