Chery Malaysia has just put up a teaser for its soon-to-be-launched Chery Tiggo 7 Pro SUV on its social media pages and has opened registration of interest (ROI) for the car. Interested individuals may head to Chery Malaysia’s official website to register their interests by providing details such as name, contact number, email, and preferred dealer.

Scheduled to be launched on our shores within the first half of 2024, the Tiggo 7 Pro is the Chinese carmaker’s C-segment SUV contender and will be locally assembled (CKD) in Kulim, Kedah. When officially launched, it will be competing against the likes of the Proton X70, Honda CR-V, and the Mazda CX-5.

During a media briefing held by Chery Malaysia in July last year, some technical specifications of the Tiggo 7 Pro were shared with the media. This includes features such as 18-inch alloy wheels, a panoramic sunroof, a 24.6-inch twin-screen setup with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto support, and ventilated front seats. The C-segment SUV will also come with an 8-speaker Sony premium audio system, a 540-degree camera system, along with 17 advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) functions.

Powering the Malaysian-spec Tiggo 7 Pro will be a 1.6-litre TGDi inline-4 engine paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT), producing 197 hp and 290 Nm. This enables the SUV to sprint from a standstill to 100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds.
