Volkswagen Passenger Cars Malaysia (VPCM) has just launched the 2024 Volkswagen Touareg R-Line in Malaysia. Locally assembled (CKD) in Pekan, the Touareg fetches a price tag of RM469,990, inclusive of the Volkswagen Assurance Package (VAP).
On the outside, the Malaysian-spec Volkswagen Touareg R-Line gets equipment such as IQ.Light HD LED matrix headlights, LED taillights, and 20-inch Braga alloy wheels. It also sports an illuminated logo at the back.
Powering the 2024 Volkswagen Touareg R-Line in Malaysia is a 3.0-litre V6 TSI engine producing 340 hp (metric) and 450 Nm. Paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission, power is sent to all four wheels via the brand’s 4MOTION all-wheel drive (AWD) system. The Touareg is also fitted with an air suspension with Automatic Self-Levelling, which should come in handy during floods.
Moving inside, features you get with the Touareg R-Line include Active Climate seats, a 12.3-inch Digital Cockpit instrument display, and a 15-inch touchscreen infotainment display which supports both wireless Apple CarPlay and wireless Android Auto. There is also the 13-speaker 730W Dynaudio Consequence sound system for you to enjoy your music.

Safety-wise, the Volkswagen Touareg R-Line in Malaysia comes with the German carmaker’s IQ.Drive advanced driver safety assist (ADAS) features. This includes features such as Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop & Go, Front Cross Traffic Assist feature, Autonomous Emergency Braking Front Assist, Park Assist, and more.
