Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM), the official distributor for Nissan in Malaysia has unveiled the new Nissan Black Edition, which is an upgrade for the V and VL variants of the Navara. With different items offered for both variants, the Black Edition package costs an additional RM13,500 for the V and RM14,700 for the VL.
According to ETCM, the Black Edition incorporates visual cues from the PRO-4X variant to the V and VL variants. Generally, this includes a new front grille cladding, gloss black door mirror covers, gloss black over fenders, and black wheels.
On the V variant, the Nissan Navara Black Edition which costs an extra RM13,500 adds:

- New Gloss Black Door Mirror Covers
- New Gloss Black 17-inch Alloy Wheels
- New Two-Tone Over Fenders
- Leather Combination Interior
- V-Kool Security Film Tinting
On the VL variant, the Nissan Navara Black Edition which costs an additional RM14,700 adds:
- New Gloss Black Front Grille Cladding
- New Gloss Black Door Mirror Covers
- New Two-Tone Over Fenders
- Driving Video Recorder
- Kicking Plate
- Door Visor
- Fuel Tank Guard
- Oil Sump Guard
- V-Kool Security Film Tinting
Powertrain-wise things are unchanged and both the V and VL retain the same 2.5-litre 4-cylinder turbodiesel which outputs a maximum of 190 hp (metric) and 450 Nm. Paired with the engine is a 7-speed automatic transmission. The 4WD system of the Navara is equipped with Active Brake Limited Slip Differential.
In terms of safety, both the V and VL variants of the Navara are equipped with Intelligent Predictive Forward Collision Warning that senses two vehicles ahead and Emergency Braking as well as Intelligent Driver Alertness, with the former adding on Intelligent Around View Monitor (360° Camera) with Off-Road Mode and Moving Object Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Lane Departure Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert and High Beam Assist.
