Etiqa Tesla Ensure EV coverage now offered in Malaysia, for Tesla owners only

With the official launch of the Tesla electric car brand in Malaysia, Etiqa is now offering a special “Tesla Ensure” coverage plan for Tesla owners in Malaysia. One unique thing about the Tesla Ensure coverage is that it introduces a first-in-Malaysia portable charging cable coverage.

Insurance and Takaful plans under the Tesla Ensure coverage are underwritten by Etiqa General Insurance Berhad and Etiqa General Takaful Berhad. Designed for Tesla owners only, the Tesla Ensure coverage offers many additional coverages on top of the basic motor coverage. This includes:

• EV home charger coverage with reimbursement of up to RM12,000 to replace or repair EV home chargers
• One-time special relief allowance due to total loss and theft
• Insured-only personal accident coverage
• Flood relief allowance
• Compassionate benefits
• Waiver of excess
• 30% cash rebates with “Drive Less Save More” add-on
