After launching the controversial-looking seventh-generation BMW 7 series and BMW i7 in April 2022, BMW has just unveiled the third variant of the all-electric BMW i7. Known as the BMW i7 eDrive50, the all-electric luxury sedan will be slotted under the BMW i7 xDrive60 and M70 xDrive, and will be available from July 2023 onwards.

The BMW i7 eDrive50 comes with the latest BMW eDrive technology in the form of a highly integrated electric drive unit. Thanks to a single-motor setup, the BMW i7 eDrive50 is capable of churning out a total of 455 hp and 650 Nm of torque. With power fed to the rear wheels only, this entry-level i7 model can sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds.

BMW has not revealed any details regarding the entry-level i7’s battery capacity or its charging figures. However, the German luxury carmaker did claim the third variant of the BMW i7 to feature a highly efficient electric motor and a high-voltage battery that has outstanding energy density.

As a result, the BMW i7 eDrive50 is able to have you chauffeured as far as a minimum of 575 km and 611 km maximum. Claimed to be capable of offering customers an alternate way to enjoy supreme long-distance comfort, the third variant in the BMW i7 line-up is also said to combine trailblazing innovations and emission-free driving pleasure.
