The 2023 Lexus RX 350 Luxury, which has only just opened its order books for Malaysia last week, has already received over 500 bookings thus far. This was revealed by UMW Toyota Motor and Lexus Malaysia President, Datuk Ravindran K., at the unveiling of the new Lexus Klang showroom earlier today.
Its official launch is only due sometime in the coming weeks, but it’s obvious why the new 2023 Lexus RX has already received such warm reception here in Malaysia. Most of it probably boils down to its new looks, headlined by the unique ‘Spindle Body’ grille, tri-beam LED headlights, and the full-width tail lights at the back.
The striking design is further accentuated by the unique Sonic Copper exterior colour, giving the all-new 2023 Lexus RX a look that’s unlike any other SUV on the road today. Want a closer look? Check out our detailed gallery here.
Inside, the all-new 2023 Lexus RX 350 Luxury also boasts a completely reworked interior that finally ditches the much-maligned Remote Touch interface. Most of the frequently-used controls come with their own physical buttons and switches, although everything else is now wrapped into the new 14-inch touchscreen infotainment display on the dashboard.
Other highlights in the all-new 2023 Lexus RX’s interior include the powered rear outboard seats with individual ventilation function, a massive customisable head-up display, the e-Latch electronic door lever, and an active noise cancellation system to help keep NVH to a minimum.
The 2023 Lexus RX 350 Luxury is powered by a 2.4-litre turbocharged inline-four engine, which is rated for 279 hp and 430 Nm of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels via an all-time electronically controlled all-wheel drive system and an eight-speed Direct Shift automatic gearbox for a century sprint time of 7.6 seconds.
Now open for booking, the 2023 Lexus RX 350 Luxury is priced at RM468,888 on-the-road, without insurance, and inclusive of a five-year unlimited mileage warranty.
