Video: 2023 BMW i4 M50 in Malaysia – first M electric vehicle with 544 hp, 795 Nm, RM445k



The first M-badged electric vehicle – the BMW i4 M50 – is now in Malaysia priced at RM430,210 and is accompanied by a two-year warranty. With the extended five-year warranty and service package, the price goes up to RM445,800. The batteries are covered by an eight-year/160,000 km warranty.

Underneath the sleek exterior is a twin-motor, all-wheel drive setup that produces a whopping 544 hp and 795 Nm. These figures however are only available for 10 seconds in Sports Boost Mode. With that, the i4 M50 can get from 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds, two seconds quicker than the standard eDrive40. Top speed on the i4 M50 is 225 km/h.

The motors in the i4 M50 is powered by an 83.9 kWh battery pack, offering up to 510 km of electric range on a single charge (WLTP). Using an 11 kW AC charger, it takes eight hours and 15 minutes for a full charge, while with 200 kW DC charging it takes 31 minutes to get from 10-80% state of charge.

On the outside, the i4 M50 is dressed with an M Sport kit, an M badge on the front grille, M 50-year anniversary emblem, M wing mirrors, M rear spoiler and 20-inch BMW Individual style 862.

Inside, key features include a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 14.9-inch centre touchscreen as part of the BMW Curved Display, a wireless charger, a 17-speaker watt Harman Kardon sound system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, carbon trims, M Sport front seats, and an M Sport steering wheel.
